Doku­men­ta­tion (35 mm) »Crazy ist ein Film über die Erin­ne­rungen einiger hollän­di­scher UN-Soldaten an verschie­dene Kriegs­schau­plätze, an denen sie dienten. Diese Erin­ne­rungen sind jeweils untrennbar verbunden mit einem ganz spezi­ellen Lied, das Trost in die Fremde brachte. Beginnend mit der ersten UN-Mission nach Korea (1950) führt uns der Film auf eine Reise in den Libanon, nach Kambo­dscha, Ruanda und in das frühere Jugo­sla­wien. Er endet mit dem Fall von Srebre­nica von 1995. Mit home videos, Foto­gra­fien und bewe­genden wie grau­en­haften Archiv­ma­te­ria­lien erzählen die Soldaten ihre Geschichten, die von Verant­wor­tung, Bestür­zung, Angst, Liebe, Impotenz und Tod handeln. Crazy ist eine ganz persön­liche Reise durch die Welt der hollän­di­schen UN-Veteranen und ihrer Musik. Crazy is a film about the remi­nis­cences of several Dutch UN soldiers about various batt­le­fields were they served; memories that are inextric­ably bound up with one special song that brought solace far from home. Starting with the very first UN mission to Korea (1950), the film takes us on a journey to the Lebanon, Cambodia, Rwanda and former-Yugo­slawia – to end up with the Fall of Srebre­nica in 1995. Using home videos and photos, moving and also gruesome archive footage, the soldiers tell their moving stories about respon­si­bi­lity, cons­ter­na­tion, fear, love, total impotence and death. Crazy is a very personal journey through the world of Dutch UN veterans through music. BIO-FILMOGRAPHIE Heddy Honigmann Geboren 1951 in Lima, Peru, wo sie bis 1973 lebte.
