Doku­men­ta­tion (35 mm, 1:1,66, Farbe, Dolby SRD) »Eine Wiese an einem Sommertag; ein Tag, eine Nacht und das Herauf­däm­mern eines neuen Morgens. Ihre Bewohner, Insekten und andere Wiesen- und Wasser­tiere, phan­tas­ti­sche, buchs­täb­lich unvor­stell­bare Kreaturen bewegen sich in gran­diosen Land­schaften, in undurch­dring­li­chen Gräserd­schun­geln und tita­ni­schen Tautropfen, in einer Mikrowelt, für die ein Sommer­nachts­ge­witter kata­stro­phale Auswir­kungen annimmt. In unwirk­li­ches Licht getaucht und von unbe­kannten Tönen umgeben, entdeckt nun der faszi­nierte Zuschauer eine Paral­lel­welt, in der neue physi­ka­li­sche Gesetze zu gelten scheinen, wo Tiere auf dem Wasser gehen, mit dem Kopf nach unter herum­ziehen oder in uner­mess­liche Tiefe fallen, ohne Schaden zu nehmen... This is an explo­ra­tion into a new land – in fact, a simple meadow – during a summer’s day: a day, a night and the dawn of a second day. Insects and other animals of grass and water, fantastic, literally unima­ginable creatures who move through grandiose land­scapes, jungles of impe­ne­trable grass, titanic drops of dew. Any event thus takes on a new dimension: for the micro­cosmos, a simple storm can have cata­clysmic conse­quences. Bathed in this unreal light, surrounded by unknown sounds, the awestruck spectator discovers a parallel world governed by new physical laws: a country where animal can walk on water, move upside down, or drop unhurt from heights a hundred times their own.
